Transtech has supplied Baumer-IVO of Germany Stainless Steel Hollow-shaft bus type encoders to Materials Handling Companies fortravel and luff control on BHP Billiton stackers/reclaimers. The encoders connect directly to the PLC via the RS-485/Modbus highway, including Ethernet/IP. These encoders are designed specifically for the harsh Australian Mining Industry.
